An Hour to Spare

Tuesday SOL15

sol[1]You stand tall waiting patiently.  You know I will eventually come back.  A day off here, a weekend without back-to-back obligations there.  For some reason I have it in my head that I need a minimum of an hour to do you justice.  I know deep down that’s not true.  Thirty minutes will do.  That’s all it takes to reap the benefits.  My Fitbit confirms such suspicions.  Meeting up with you regularly for thirty minutes will give me a solid three to four thousand additional steps.

So, why do I deny you?  You couldn’t make it any easier on me.  No traveling necessary.  Wake up, get dressed, get walking….all in the same room.

Today you stood and waited no more.  Today you were dusted off, revved up and your belt was moving.  My feet took me three miles without ever leaving my bedroom.  Grooving to Rhianna, Lady Gaga, and Dionne Farris with an accelerated heart rate and an hour to spare.  Yes.  I finally had an hour to spare.
