Making a Difference One Step at a Time

March #SOLC17 Day 12

When a dancer has something in their heart it comes out in their movement”

We sat in a packed ballroom Friday night and we all had the same intention in mind. Wipe out cancer.  Get rid of it.  To save those we care about, and ourselves, from the pain and tragedy of this horrible disease.

We sat in a packed ballroom Friday night and we all had the same intention in mind.  Dance the night away.  Cheer on our Chicago Celebrities and Corporate Challengers.  To help them to raise as much money as possible to fund more cancer research.

We sat in a packed ballroom Friday night and we all had the same intention in mind. Support one another, especially those experiencing cancer presently and those who are now called “survivors.” To listen to their stories and to hold their hands.

We sat in a packed ballroom Friday night and we all had the same intention in mind.  Take action.  Do whatever we could do – whether it be dancing on the main floor, donating money or simply being in a room where like-minded people mingle.

We sat in a packed ballroom Friday night and we all had the same intention in mind. Believing that when people are determined to make a difference – they do just that.  That joy and beauty triumph and will always live in our hearts.  That when a dancer has something in their heart it comes out in their movement.
